Founded in 1950, Endo Manufacturing has continued to respond flexibly to the changing times while diversifying our business and expanding globally.Today, we aim for further growth in the golf, forging, Metal Sleeve, medical device, and aircraft fields.

Diversification and Entry into the Domestic Market

1950s

 Company founding and the start of sewing machine parts production

Founded in the Tsubame Sanjo region of Niigata Prefecture, where metal processing is a local industry, Endo Manufacturing began focusing on the sewing machine market, where demand was growing. We began manufacturing various sewing machine parts, starting with screwdrivers. Utilizing metal processing technology developed in the region, we began reliably manufacturing products to meet market needs.

February 1947 Founder Eimatsu Endo begins manufacturing sewing machine parts privately in Tsubame, Niigata Prefecture
November 1950 Founded Endo Manufacturing Co., Ltd. with capital of 2.4 million yen, focusing on the manufacturing and selling of sewing machine parts

1960s

 Kitchen tool manufacturing and overseas expansion

With the rapid growth of the western tableware industry in Tsubame, Niigata Prefecture, we began manufacturing kitchen tools such as kitchen flippers, ladles, spoons, and forks. We sought out overseas sales channels and obtained a large share of the export market for stainless steel kitchen tools.

1970s

 Diversification and entry into the domestic market

The company expanded to six businesses as we diversified our manufacturing lineup to include sewing machines, kitchen tools, utensils, western tableware, molds, and golf club heads. We also begin approaching customers for domestic sales in addition to exports.

February 1975 Acquired a 54.1% stake in Kyotan Co., Ltd. (a forging company located in Yoshida-machi, Nishikanbara-gun [now Tsubame City], Niigata Prefecture), making it a subsidiary
February 1977 Established EPON GOLF Co., Ltd. in Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture, for the purpose of selling golf equipment

1980s

 Business restructuring and launch of the brand EPON GOLF

We merged our six businesses and reorganized to focus on manufacturing products for our golf, stainless steel, and precision machinery businesses. We began full-scale development and manufacturing of golf clubs under our own brand “EPON GOLF”.

November 1984 Split and reorganized business structure into the Golf Business Division, Stainless Steel Business Division, and Precision Machinery Business Division
April 1989 Established ENDO THAI CO., LTD. in Bangkok, Thailand to expand manufacturing of golf equipment

Establishment of a global production system

Building a Global Production System

1990s

 Establishment of overseas manufacturing system and expansion into Thailand

Recognizing the need for an overseas manufacturing system, we expanded into Thailand. Starting with the establishment of ENDO THAI CO., LTD. in 1989, we established a mass production system in each business for golf club heads, stainless steel parts, and forged parts, in order to strengthen our business structure.

May 1992 Established ENDO STAINLESS STEEL (THAILAND) CO., LTD. in Chachoengsao, Thailand in order to expand stainless steel business production
April 1996 Established ENDO FORGING (THAILAND) CO., LTD. in Chachoengsao, Thailand, in order for subsidiary Kyotan Co., Ltd. to manufacture forgings

2000s

 New businesses and development of Metal Sleeve products

Leveraging the strengths of our golf club head manufacturing, stainless steel parts manufacturing, and forging manufacturing businesses, we began seeking new businesses to develop. We began full-scale manufacturing of new products centered on our Metal Sleeve technology.

April 2002 Began manufacturing and selling a new independently developed product: “Metal Sleeve” thin stainless steel pipes
April 2009 Began manufacturing and selling medical devices

New Market Development and Sustainable Growth

2010s

 Establishment of a manufacturing system and expansion into the medical devices field

We began establishing a mass production system for our three businesses. We set a goal of gaining market share in the Asian region through establishing a manufacturing system that leverages our network between Japan and Thailand. We also began using the forging technology we had developed in order to manufacture medical devices.

October 2012 Upgraded and expanded ENDO FORGING (THAILAND) CO., LTD. plant to expand forging business manufacturing
January 2018 Consolidated two ENDO THAI CO., LTD. plants into a single plant in order to optimize our golf business manufacturing system and improve production efficiency

2020s

 Business diversification and sustainable growth

We began manufacturing high-precision parts in fields such as the golf, automobile, and OA device fields. We also leveraged technological innovations to enter new markets such as the medical and aircraft markets. We strengthened our global manufacturing system centered on our plants in Thailand, to improve competitiveness inside and outside Japan. We also built long-term trust relationships with our OEM partners and continue to maintain a stable business foundation.
