As a manufacturer specializing in forged golf club heads, since 1968 Endo Manufacturing has been operating an OEM business and has also been selling products under the EPON GOLF brand. We provide integrated services covering everything from development and mold fabrication to manufacturing, and have won high acclaim from well-known brands inside and outside Japan, boasting an 80% share of the domestic brand forged iron head market (according to internal research).

For our OEM business, we combine the delicate handwork of craftsmen with the latest automated technology to provide high-quality products with short delivery time. We have established efficient mass production systems at our bases in Japan and Thailand, and manufacture golf clubs that are extremely popular with golfers around the world, from athletes to amateurs.

We have developed a wide range of iron heads made using traditional soft-iron forging manufacturing methods, for professional and amateurs alike. Our forging process makes use of precision molds under strict temperature control, resulting in products with an excellent hitting feel and high dimensional accuracy and quality.
EPON GOLF

We launched our own brand with the idea of pursuing quality and functionality, and putting 100% into our products and customers. Unlike mass-produced products, we develop and manufacture our premium golf clubs without compromise, from selecting materials to forging, polishing, and finishing.

We run our own store right next to our head office in Tsubame Sanjo, where we talk with customers to develop ideas for new products.

    supported by two overseas bases

    With our subsidiaries in Thailand, ENDO FORGING (THAILAND) CO., LTD. and ENDO THAI CO., LTD., serving as manufacturing bases, we have built a system that allows us to achieve mass production at high quality. ENDO FORGING CO., LTD. has multiple forging lines and serves as our core base for forging golf club heads. ENDO THAI CO., LTD. takes forged materials and presses, machines, welds, polishes, plates, finishes, inspects, and packages them into finished products.

    Repeated inspections and measurements are made during each process, and products are rigorously inspected to ensure that their shape, dimensions, weight, and other factors are within design values and tolerances. Only those products that meet our high quality standards are shipped out.

    We continue to promote the latest automation and labor-saving measures, such as introducing 3D welding machines, multi-axis processing machines, and automatic inspection equipment, as well as switching to digital master head fabrication. However, craftsmen and skilled engineers remain in charge of processes that require human sensitivity and experience, such as master model fabrication and design with a focus on developing products that both feel and sound great in use. It is this perfect combination of automation and human skill that serves as the strength supporting Endo Manufacturing’s manufacturing sites.

Our unique golf clubs that combine beautiful shapes with high strength are extremely popular with players not only in Japan, but also throughout Asia in countries such as South Korea, China, Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand; European countries such as the U.K., Germany, and France; and also in the U.S., Canada, and Australia.

    We proactively promote the development of proprietary technologies. We have established the ENDO brand without relying on existing manufacturing methods, and promote differentiation and competitiveness amidst rapidly changing competition rules. PROCESS Golf club head manufacturing process

Product development

After receiving drawings from the customer, we use advanced CAD modeling and simulation technologies to generate master model data. We then apply Endo Manufacturing expertise and manufacturing technology to propose the best design idea for realizing the product concept.

Master model fabrication

Once we have created a CAD model, we then fabricate a master model that will serve as the original shape. We take a unique manufacturing approach that appeals to the human senses in terms of appearance and the hitting feel and hitting sound. We create a precise original shape that serves as the standard for the product. Our head office in Niigata is in charge of the process up to this point.

Mold fabrication

The forging mold is fabricated in Thailand based on the 3D data of the master model. We utilize our extensive experience and all of the data we have accumulated to create a high-precision mold, which is crucial for producing a quality golf club. We manufacture molds in-house, allowing us to respond quickly, meticulously, and accurately to customer requests.

Precision forging

During the forging process, in which materials are heated and beaten into shape, we manufacture the product using optimal mold design and forging conditions based on the data we have accumulated through many years of experience. Here, we create the original shape of the high-quality golf club head, which meets stricter control standards than for typical forgings.

Processing (cutting and welding)

The forged head is cut using a machining center to prepare the joint surface shape. A 3D welding machine is used for welding. This allows us to accurately and automatically weld even 3D curved surfaces such as golf club heads.

Polishing

We use a combination of automatic barrel polishing and polishing by skilled workers using belts and buffing machines to provide a smooth surface finish even on complex shapes. This results in a product shape faithful to the master shape and beautiful appearance.

Plating and finishing

We then plate the surface of the golf club head. Our automated plating lines ensure consistent quality (luster and strength). We use elaborate coating technology to complete the golf club head with a beautiful and attractive shine.

Inspection and quality assurance

We strictly inspect the appearance, dimensions, and performance of the product. We ship only once it has passed our extensive quality checks, including hitting feel, weight balance, and surface finish. By implementing high precision and thorough quality control in all manufacturing processes, we have established a stable product supply and mass production system.
